On Wednesday 7th March all students at Little Ilford School spent the day exploring the meaning of British values as part of citizenship day. The aim of the day was for students to build upon the spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding of who we are and the values that are important in our society. Teachers dedicated time to plan and deliver valuable lessons based on the importance of democracy, understanding the rule of law, individual liberty, and the meaning of mutual respect and tolerance of others. The theme ran throughout the entire day with a typical British lunch being served, the roast dinner. It was a fantastic day and students responded very positively.
