Stephen Timms MP visited Little Ilford School in January. During the visit, as part of Teach First Week, the MP for East Ham had tea and cake with the student council, Deputy Head Katy Episcopo and two Teach First graduates who are placed at the school. Both teachers spoke of positive experiences of teaching at LIS and of their ambition to stay in the education sector after they have finished the programme. Miss Fountain (pictured) said “It was a pleasure to speak to Mr Timms about our school. The students were very excited about his visit.”
